Polka Dots

While they were never particularly unpopular, polka dots have been making an appearance lately. Polka dots are extremely versatile, there are various color and pattern options, and they can be matched with a variety of things. They are also very easy to find in stores. This vintage baby doll top is available through Depop for $14.00.

Vintage Babydoll Tops

Vintage babydoll tops have been popping up on social media ever since fall, but now, since it is approaching summertime, babydoll short sleeves and tank tops have been making a larger appearance. While these tops are very cute and all very unique from one another, they are definitely difficult to find. Thrifting is always a gamble, it is possible to find something like this, but it is possible to not even find anything remotely similar. Plus, since they are currently trending, resellers on websites like Depop and Whatnot sell these shirts for up to $400. This is insane considering that the top was likely thrifted for less than $10. Despite the outrageous price points, people go absolutely crazy for these tops. There are people who are genuinely willing to pay the price for these shirts. While they are definitely very cute, a lot of people are only interested in them because they have been trending. Regardless, vintage or not, babydoll tops are an adorable piece to wear for the summer.

A pair of coral pants went viral on TikTok, sparking a bright colors trend.

Bright Colors

After a large craze over neutral colors like white, grey, and navy blue, it is finally time for brighter colors to start making an appearance. This all started over a pair of coral pants that kept appearing in fashion inspo slideshows on TikTok. These pants caused pink colors like coral and bright fuschia to start trending, and now brighter greens and teals have been making more of an appearance. It is refreshing to see people become so interested in bright colors after such a long period of neutrals being more popular. While it can definitely be hard to match things with bright colors, they are always a fun piece to wear.

Lace camis are being layered, prompting an early 2000s vibe. This pair is from Hollister.

Layering Tops

Recently, also inspired by vintage fashion, it has become more popular to layer lace cami tops underneath shirts. This is an easy way to elevate any outfit while putting in a minimal amount of effort. Despite the fact that more layers is typically equivalent to more warmth, a lace tank top is practical for summer because it is very light and thin.

Low-rise Mini Jean Shorts

After a while of high-rise being more popular, low-rise shorts have been making a comeback. Jean shorts are always worn very often in the summer and can be styled in almost any way. The reason they are so popular is because they can be matched with pretty much anything. Low-rise has become more popular also due to trends from the 2000s. Stores have been coming out with more low-rise shorts and pants since this trend has been appearing, making low-rise the new “norm.”
