Graduation used to be small for Polaris Career Center. In 2026, Polaris will officially bring back a formal graduation ceremony for students and families at Polaris. This event will be held on May 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland.
During the Covid years, graduation was kept small and intimate, but it is shifting to a large stadium, giving Polaris the ability to not leave family members out as there are no tickets required. Any interested family and friends can attend.
Different from other graduations, Polaris does not provide caps and gowns. Instead students will be allowed to dress in professional clothing, such as business attire and dress clothing. Students who contributed to Polaris in significant ways will be wearing a Polaris cord.
Polaris students should be walking in the door to line up around 4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
“I feel special and important that my school is giving me the opportunity and chance to graduate twice with multiple certificates and my diploma,” Rimas Alsakhri, senior, said.
Polaris students will receive a leather binder with diploma and certifications they’ve earned.
At the end of the event, people will be able to mingle and take pictures with their friends and loved ones. There will be snacks and drinks for students to enjoy.
